• Day 1 | WELCOME TO ANDALUCÍA!!!

Arrive and check in to your centrally-located hotel on your own. In the evening, we'll all meet up in the lobby at 8pm. It’s time to dive in!

We’ll head by foot through Triana for dinner at La Atrayana, a fantastic neighborhood tapas restaurant offering a vast selection of natural and organic wines paired with excellent local dishes. Owner Raul Moreno, who we will be visiting the following day will join us for a night filled with unforgettable flavors.

    Hotel: Eurostars Guadalquivir

    Dinner: La Atrayana

  • Day 2 | Raul Moreno

At this point, Raul Moreno should be no stranger after having dinner with him our first night. We'll be visiting him at Dominio de las Animas, a historic estate in Puerto de Santa María, once abandoned and recovered by him and our friends from the Sotovelo Winery which we will also learn about and taste. If we're lucky, maybe we'll even get a taste of the Diatomists wines. Should be a pretty complete day of tasting their whole range and what these one of a kind soils have to offer.

    Hotel: Astuto Boutique
    Lunch: Dominio de las Ánimas

  • Day 3 | Bodega Vinifícate

Today we’ll visit Bodega Vinifícate on the island of San Fernando, just off the coast of Cádiz. For years, brothers Miguel and Jose Gomez worked with different wineries in the area before coming together to make their own wine in 2011. Sourcing fruit from all over the Sherry Triangle, their wines are a pure reflection of this unique region without interference of any kind. We'll learn all about their project, taste their wines and then head for lunch under the sun on the Bay of Cadiz’s famous esteros.

    Lunch: Bodega Vinifícate

  • Day 4 | Bodegas Alonso

Located in Sanlucar de Barrameda, Bodegas Alonso is a traditional sherry bodega in the heart of Manzanilla territory.  Francisco and Fernando Asencio rescued the old Pedro Romero winery containing soleras (casks of aged fortified wines) from Pedro Romero himself, Gaspar Florido, and Fernando Méndez, some of the highest regarded in the history of the region. We'll learn about the distinctive solera system and taste very old and rare wines before sitting for lunch under their grape covered pergola.

  • Day 5 | Mythopia

After checking out of the hotel, we'll drive to Mijas for a real treat! Mythopia, a world reference for natural wines, will have an Andalusian version made in Mijas under the direction of Simbad Romero. The wines and new project are going to be a lot of fun to discover!

We'll then head for lunch at one of Spain’s “Templos del Producto”, Los Marinos de Jose in Fuengirola. After lunch, we'll continue on to Granada and check in to hotel.

  • Day 6 | Bodega Cauzón

This morning we will visit Ramón Saavedra’s Bodega Cauzón. After working 15 years as a chef on Spain’s Costa Brava, Saavedra returned to his native Granada to take over his family’s small personal vineyard in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. He planted an additional 10 acres of Syrah, Tinta Fina and Cabernet Sauvignón and has been entirely organic since 1999. After having lunch with Ramón and putting his chef skills to the test, we will head back to Granada.

  • Day 7 | Barranco Oscuro

For our last visit, we are off to Barranco Oscuro located high in the Sierra de la Contraviesa mountains. At almost 1400m of altitud, it is one of the highest vineyards in Europe and only 6 miles from the sea. Founder Manuel Valenzuela arrived there in 1979 and was a pioneer of the natural wine movement in Spain. We will take in the breathtaking views, taste their wines, and have lunch in the countryside before returning to Granada. After the visit, enjoy your last evening out in Granada at leisure.
