• Day 1 | WELCOME TO GALICIA!

    SATURDAY, JULY 25

We kick off our journey in the coastal city of Vigo, checking in at Maroa, our boutique hotel in the heart of town. As the sun sets, we’ll gather for a welcome dinner and wine pairing at one of Vigo’s best bistros, Detapaencepa. Owner and sommelier Oscar Cídanes will run us through the Destinos Cruzados wines where he is also a partner and give us a crash course in Galician wine and setting the tone for the week.

    Dinner: Detapaencepa

    Hotel: Maroa Vigo

  • Day 2 | Bodegas Pentecostés

    RIAS BAIXAS

    SUNDAY, JULY 26

We will venture to the coastal O Rosal subregion of Rías Baixas to visit Bodega Pentecostés, the project of winemaker Jorge Marcote. Committed to low-intervention farming and thoughtful winemaking, Jorge crafts some of the most exciting wines in the area. We’ll explore the vineyards, taste, and enjoy lunch before a short boat ride along the Ría to see the traditional mussel bateas, paired with a tasting of fresh mussel - a perfect local finale.

    Lunch: Bodegas Pentecostés

    Hotel: Maroa Vigo

  • Day 3 | Islas Cíes

    MONDAY, JULY 27

It's time for a beach day. We will board a ferry to the Cíes Islands, an archipelago in the Vigo estuary, to spend a day on some of the most beautiful undeveloped beaches in the world. These islands are part of the maritime Natural Park of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia, protecting them from over development. After lunch, we head back to Vigo for one last night.

    Lunch: Bar Restaurante Serafín

    Hotel: Maroa Vigo

  • Day 4 | Ourense

    TUESDAY, JULY 28

The next day we’ll head inland to Ourense, a city shaped by Roman history, thermal waters, and a lively old town. With a local guide, we’ll wander its winding streets and cross the emblematic Roman bridge before sitting down for lunch at Tapa Negra, one of our favorite local spots.

    Lunch: Tapa negra

  • Day 5 | Adega Entre Cantos

    RIBEIRA SACRA

    WEDNESDAY, JULY 29

We’ll start our day with a visit to Adega Entrecantos in the Quiroga-Bibei subregion of Ribeira Sacra. Owner and winemaker Roberto Rodriguez returned to his native town of Torbeo to make wines at about 750 meters of altitude - some of the highest vineyards in the region. His Martiñolo wines capture the influences of dense chestnut forests, mountains, rivers and the memories of a childhood home. We’ll stay for lunch and enjoy the peaceful landscape before heading to our last night in Ourense.

    Lunch: Adega Entre Cantos

    Hotel: NH Ourense

  • Day 6 | Santiago de Compostela

    THURSDAY, JULY 30

We’ll continue to Santiago de Compostela, a city where history, spirituality, and daily life blend in a unique way. With a local guide, we’ll explore its medieval streets and the awe-inspiring cathedral before sitting down for lunch at Bar Pampín, a cozy neighborhood favorite known for its honest Galician cooking. Then, we will head to our last hotel in Cambados.

  • Day 7 | Bodegas Albamar

    RIAS BAIXAS

    FRIDAY, JULY 31

Our last winery visit! Bodegas Albamar in the O Salnes sub-region of Rias Baixas. Winemaker Xurxo Alba is full of energy and has a clear mission to show us a new Galicia. Xurxo will show us his new vineyards before tasting and bringing us to his family’s "furancho", (traditional countryside restaurants). That day we're having a special dinner at Tapería Continental, by Yayo Daporta, followed by one last hurrah at the Fiesta del Albariño.
